Immunoglobulin Y (abbreviated as IgY) is a type of immunoglobulin that is the major antibody in bird, reptile, and lungfish blood. IgY consists of two light (λ) and two heavy (u) chains. In the present study, polyclonal antibody against IgYFc was generated and evaluated. rIgYCu3/Cu4 was expressed in Escherichia coli, purified and utilized to raise polyclonal antibody in rabbit. These results suggested that the antibody is valuable for the investigation of biochemical properties and biological functions of GoIgY.
